Our 2nd Annual Alabama’s Best Contest is underway!

The contest – sponsored by LEAN Frog in association with the Alabama Association of School Boards (AASB) – recognizes best practices and innovations in K-12 public schools that impact student achievement and promote effective and efficient use of public resources.

We recently caught up with Dr. Shelly Mize, Superintendent of Tarrant City Schools, at the Alabama AASB Summer Conference. Check out the video below to see what Dr. Mize, who submitted the winning submission for the 1st Annual Alabama’s Best Contest on behalf of Tarrant City Schools, said about her district’s entry and what it takes to win…

You can read more about last year’s winning entries at theleanleap.com/2014/11/winners.

The contest is open to all Alabama public school districts. Districts may submit up to three entries describing a best practice implemented within the last two school years (2013-14 and 2014-2015). This year, the contest has been expanded to include best practices in both instructional and non-instructional departments.

The winning entry will receive $3,000, and two runner-up entries will receive $1,000 each.

Don’t delay… the deadline to enter is October 15, 2015!
